Word Problem On Subtraction Of Money
While solving word problem related to subtraction of money we first analyse the statement and write what has been given in the statement.
We will then write all the money in the short form by placing a dot to separate rupees from paise and will the perform subtraction.
Illustration 1: Rohini bought a packet of chips for Rs. 8, biscuit for Rs. 21.25 and eggs for Rs. 7.50. She gave the shopkeeper a 50 - rupee note. How much money did she get back ?
